This subsite about BARBOUR family history is for relatives only, and is intended to complement my public genealogy site. I would welcome suggestions for items of family interest, useful links etc. - please email me or sign the guestbook.

The Rich Text Files (RTF) should be readable in any word processor, and are marked up for indexing by your word processor. I have provided one version indexed in Word 97 for printing on A4. Brothers Keeper is a shareware genealogy program, the file below is a zip file containing version 5 data files that should be extracted to a new directory.

Barbours lived in Kilbarchan (Renfrewshire) for many years. The Kilbarchan pages on my public site have a history of the village, a map, the 1695 Poll Tax roll and photographs of the West Church, including the font in memory of Humphrey Barbour.
